      <image:title>Archaeology</image:title>
<image:caption>The purpose of the Archaeology Project was to improve the spatial accuracy of archaeological sites in the province. Sites were reviewed across the entire province. Site location comparison was done using the HRIA (Heritage Resource Inventory Application). This is a custom application for maintaining inventory and spatial data for archaeological sites. To assess the spatial accuracy of the sites, the original paper site forms were compared against a variety of layers in the HRIA, such as TRIM roads, TRIM water, orthophoto, cadastral, and other LRDW layers. Site forms contained both descriptive and visual (map) based information. Site geometry and location were updated if either the location or site geometetry (shape) could be improved upon. Several QA checks were performed along the way to ensure accuracy and consistency of data. The deliverables for this project also included supporting documentation.</image:caption>

<image:caption>The FNIRS UAT initiative was planned, developed, and implemented by BCL in conjunction with support from Ministry staff team members. This UAT process included the development of test cases / scripts. A SharePoint site was developed and populated to coordinate development, distribution, and storage of completed UAT test cases. Round #1 UAT session was carried out in classroom setting in Victoria. Staff travelled from across the province to attend this session. Round #2 of UAT was held at individuals work stations with remote UAT support handled by phone.</image:caption>

<image:title>Avalanche Path Tool - The Avalanche Analysis Tool is a tool used to automate many of the tasks involved in analyzing avalanches. The tool is a custom built ArcMap extension built in Visual Basic and compiled and distributed as a dynamic link library.</image:title>
<image:caption>The tool performs an assortment of data collection, manipulation, and calculations. While built with a specific streamlined purpose, the tool is dynamic, and therefore can be used for many different Avalanche anaylsis purposes. The purpose of the tool was to simplify a procedure for the Ministry of Transportation. The tool is very simple to use, even for the most basic ArcMap users, while still being verbose enough for advanced users to make very good use of it.</image:caption>
